JOB OVERVIEW

The Media Director at Lakeland serves as a critical bridge between the church's message and the community it serves. This role involves technical expertise and a deep understanding of the church's mission and values. It allows them to create media content that engages, inspires, and informs our church family and the broader surrounding audience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Videography: Plan and execute video production for church-related content, including sermon clips, promotional videos, event coverage, interviews, and ministry spotlights.

  • Photography: Attend and document church events, including worship services, baptisms, and other gatherings, to capture candid and posed shots that convey the spirit and atmosphere of these events.

  • Social Media Content: Create content for our social media platforms that drives engagement and awareness.

  • Volunteer Recruitment and Training: Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers to assist with audio, video, and lighting during services and events. Provide ongoing training and support to volunteers to enhance their skills.

  • Website Updates: Assist in maintaining and updating the church's website with fresh content and current information about services, events, and ministries.

  • Community Engagement: Engage with the congregation and the community to identify and share stories demonstrating the impact of Lakeland's ministries and initiatives.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other church leaders, volunteers, and staff members to align media content with the overall vision and mission of the church.

  • Content Planning: Participate in content planning meetings to contribute ideas and strategies for media and communications initiatives.
